At Kubo Optometry, each member of our vision care team is selected by Dr. Jessica Huynh based upon his or her experience, professional demeanor, and dedication to providing personalized care to our optometry patients.
Our entire Sacramento optometry staff is committed to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of each and every patient. Dr. Jessica Huynh
Optometrist
Jessica Huynh is an optometrist at Kubo Optometry, and loves what she does. When Dr. Huynh became an eye doctor, she knew that she would be helping people solve problems relating to their vision. But little did she know she’d also be saving people’s lives!
When Dr. Huynh was doing rotations at optometry school, her staff dealt with a patient who had visual field defects. After conducting tests, it turned out the patient had a brain tumor. That experience helped Dr. Huynh to realize just how important a role eye doctors play in people’s lives.
Dr. Huynh grew up in Roseville, CA, and completed her undergraduate studies at University of California-Davis, which is a mere 45 minutes away. After completing her undergrad, she ventured east to Indiana for Optometry school, followed by a move to Ohio State University to complete her residency. Then she moved back to California to practice in Sacramento.
While studying at UC Davis, Dr. Huynh met Dr. Kubo and he became her mentor. After completing optometry school, Dr. Huynh’s career took off. It took her only four years to transition from working as a technician, to an associate, to eventually becoming the practice owner!
So what exactly is Dr. Huynh’s favorite part about Kubo Optometry? The people! She loves working with people and staying connected to friends and family who are now her patients.
When she’s not seeing patients at the eye clinic, Dr. Huynh likes to unwind by spending time with her two sons. She also loves to travel, eat, snowboard and run. In fact, she enjoys running so much that she participates in a 10k race every month!
Dr. Tiffany Lu
Optometrist
Dr. Tiffany Lu is a primary care optometrist practicing for over 15 years. She obtained her doctor of optometry degree from New England College of Optometry in Boston, and her bachelor of science degree of Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from UC Davis.
Dr. Lu finds great joy in solving patient’s visual problems and concerns. She believes listening is the key to finding a solution. In her spare time, Dr. Lu travels with her husband, and in her leisure time enjoys shopping for a great deal and tending to her garden.
Dr. Ekaterina Golub
Optometrist
Dr. Ekaterina Golub immigrated to Sacramento area from Saint-Petersburg, Russia, in 2004 at the age of 11. During her time in school she quickly mastered English while maintaining fluency in Russian. In her free time, she enjoys sketching, painting and exploring new places.
In 2016, Dr. Golub earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Cell and Developmental Biology form UC Santa Cruz. During her studies, she explored various potential career paths but found herself drawn to optometry. After graduation, she began volunteering at an optometric clinic, where she was soon hired. This experience solidified her commitment to eye care, leading her to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, which she completed in 2022.
Dr. Golub is excited to return to her stomping grounds as a primary care optometrist and is dedicated to serve patients of all ages in the Sacramento community.
